U15 Girls open the Premier season with a clean sheet

First season in the Premier, first game away at last year's runners-up, and the U15 Girls came home with three points and a clean sheet.

Aoife Reid scored both — a low drive from twenty yards after ten minutes and a tap-in from Hannah Ryan's cross just before the hour — but the story was the defending. Northfield had most of the ball in the second half and barely troubled Zoe Nolan in goal.

“We asked them to be brave on the ball and disciplined off it,” said Sinéad Moran. “They did both. I'm not sure I've seen a better forty minutes from this group.”
