Ashbrook Celtic was founded in 1984 by a handful of parents who wanted somewhere for the kids of the new estates around Garston to play. Forty years on, the club fields nineteen teams from the academy up to an adult Sunday side, all run by volunteers.
Ashbrook Park
The club leased the land at Ashbrook Park from the borough council in 1991 and has built it up ever since: two full-size grass pitches, a floodlit all-weather pitch laid in 2023, a small-sided astro for the academy, and a clubhouse with dressing rooms, a kitchen and a meeting room that doubles as the homework club on Wednesdays.
How we're run
The committee is elected at the AGM every October. Every coach holds an in-date FA DBS check and the FA Safeguarding Children certificate; most have their Introduction to Coaching Football or better. If you'd like to get involved, see Volunteer with us.
Where we play
Our boys' and girls' teams play in the Colne Valley Youth League (CVYL) and the Three Counties Girls League (TCGL). The U18s play in CVYL Division 2 and the adults in the Colne Valley Sunday League.
