New LED floodlights switched on at Ashbrook Park

After eighteen months of fundraising and two months of digging, the new LED floodlights on the all-weather pitch were switched on last night by our longest-serving member, Peggy Lawlor, who has been making the tea since 1987.

The lights replace the old halogen set, which had been condemned in 2024, and cut the running cost by roughly two thirds. Evening training for all teams U11 and up moves to the all-weather pitch from Monday — see the teams page for times.
